India

The island of Rameswaram is the home of the second holiest site in the country for Hinduism. It is also the home for a ministry that has had incredible impact on the entire region beginning in the late 1970’s. We have partnered with them to help them accomplish their vision of sending Christian leaders throughout the country to spread the gospel to the places it is normally repelled and rejected.

What we’ve accomplished:

1.

Taught at the Bible College in Ramaswarma, spoke and preached at several churches, and encouraged believers in the countryside churches.

2.

Provided five motorbikes to pastors in 2019, which serve as transportation for the ministers expanding their scope of reach and community emergency transportation to the isolated villages, which, in turn, gives great influence to the pastors.

On-going Bible distribution efforts: completed 900 out of 5,000

What’s on the horizon:

1.

The Jesus Film Project: Our partners in India have been using the Jesus film to share Jesus in remote parts of the country for many years. They have several teams trained and ready to continue this vital outreach to thousands who have not heard the Gospel.

2.

Continued Bible distribution: many Hindus have requested Bibles as the uncertainty arisen during the pandemic. This is a great opportunity to get the word of God into the hands of non-believers who are searching for truth.

3.

Motorbikes for missionaries and pastors: Providing motorbikes to Gospel workers on the ground throughout the southern part of India has proved to be an invaluable tool for expanding and increasing the efficiency of ministry.
